Come March Oscar del la Renta will introduce a new floral fragrance, Bella Blanca. Packaged in an exquisite white bottle featuring three dimensional white flowers on it, and housing a scent that smells like spring. Floral and feminine, the scent is inspired by Oscar’s love of gardening and love of strong women and features his favorite notes. At the press preview we heard stories of his home in Connecticut where he loved to garden and grew jasmine inside and around his dining room (it probably smelled amazing).
Fragrances take us on journeys and and Bella Blanca is the pure elegance of a woman. She’s the floral, emerging woman that radiates nature and elegance.
With notes of sparkling pear, jasmine and roses and gentle hints of lush green leaves, orange flower, and tuberose. And background of creamy sandalwood, white orris and silky musks. The scent was created by famed Firmenich perfumer, Harry Fremont, who I’m a huge fan of! (You can see his lists of scents he’s created HERE).
The first and only time I met Oscar de la Renta was at his fragrance launch for Something Blue so his launch parties always make me nostalgic. For this event they hosted it at their headquarters in New York and it was really exquisite to see where the designs and patterns for the dresses get made. We had the most jaw dropping tour — unfortunately no photos were allowed but it was quite an experience.
Oscar del La Renta Bella Blanca EDP (100ml/$95, 50ml/$75, 30ml.$55) launches at Macy’s in March 2018.
