I wanted to share some pictures from our backpacking/camping trip and also share the gear we brought with us! A lot of you had asked about the gear we brought so hopefully this answers all your questions! We had Rosie in a carrier and David carrying all of our stuff in a backpacking backpack. Atticus hiked on his own with a water backpack. It was 2.2 miles up and 2.2 miles down so we were really proud of Atticus and how well he did on his first big hike. We started just above Silver Lake Flat and hiked up to Silver Lake (there are two Silver Lakes but the second you have to hike to which is where we went!) The way up was kind of rough for me because the night before I got food poisoning and was throwing up alllll night and all morning.. I threw up a couple hours before we started the hike. And of course after throwing up so much you don’t really feel like eating so I just had no energy and felt so so weak the whole way. Needless to say the way down felt like a breeze.
