This is for my Tampa yoga baes! When I moved here, I had no clue where to start when it came to finding a great yoga studio because there are so many options and I didn’t know many yoga practitioners to survey for recommendations at the time.
Feeling a sense of community at a yoga studio is a top priority for me. As I navigated different spaces, there were times when things felt very transactional or where I felt like I was treated differently because I didn’t fit the aesthetic of their typical student.
All of the studios on this list exceeded my expectations for quality education as well as focusing on inclusion of people of all shapes, colors, sizes and experience levels.
Here are my Favorite Tampa Bay Yoga Studios.
Meeyogi

If you want quality yoga teachers who share mindful movement and meditation, this is the tribe for you! Mya Cato and Marco Mooyoung are the heart and soul behind this amazing mobile yoga studio.
Meeyogi really does offer a gumbo of yoga experiences throughout the Tampa yoga scene. And no two events are alike…one day you might be doing trap yoga and the next you could be networking over a vegan brunch after a vinyasa class. That’s what’s so amazing and unique about this studio! Their trap yoga classes are a fan favorite but they also host in-depth workshops with topics ranging from core and inversions to hip-and-heart-openers.
Meeyogi was introduced to me a couple of years ago and it’s a huge part of why I became a certified yoga teacher. I would love to bump into you at some of their upcoming events! If you want to get a taste of what they offer, they host yoga at the Waterworks Park every 4th Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Body Electric Yoga Company
This St.Pete-based yoga studio is such a vibe. I visited for the first time a few years ago with my girl, Allie from The Journey Junkie and remember feeling like it was “different” from other studios I visited, but definitely in a good way. Fast-forward to about a year ago and this is my go-to spot! The teachers are all talented, knowledgeable and most-importantly, they make you feel valued.
They have one of the most diverse class offerings that I’ve experienced in the area. Some of my favorite class offerings are Rocket, Hot, Power Flow and pretty much everything they offer! LOL I love how kick-ass and fun yet pure and intentional their approach to yoga is. I recently attended an amazing workshop with Adell Bridges, so be sure to follow them on social and check out the Body Electric website because they’re always hosting fun events with amazing guest teachers
Lotus Pond Center for Yoga and Health
This where I did my 200-hour yoga teacher training and I highly-recommend it for yoga certifications and classes. In addition to an amazingly knowledgeable teaching staff, the property is beautiful. Tucked away in Carrollwood, you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous log cabin with a large front porch.
Additionally, there’s a lovely covered patio where classes are held, an on-site cafe and a scenic view of a lovely pond, from the large classroom.
There’s also additional seating behind the cabin near the pond. It feels like yogi summer camp every time you arrive! The class offerings vary from a 4-week beginner yoga series to Hatha and Yin. The Lotus Pond also host amazing workshops and retreats that are open to the public as well as their teacher training students.
Kodawari Studios
It was a Tuesday afternoon and I was working from home and wanted to check out a new Tampa yoga studio. Someone recommended Kodawari and I was going through a hot yoga phase, so I decided to make the drive to South Tampa to check them out and, oh-em-gee–it was so good! The vibe was inspirational yet motivational. The facility is pretty dope with spacious classrooms and they even offer float therapy! Yep—there’s a float pod that I’m dying to try out.
I’ve only attend a few hot yoga classes at this studio since moving to the area, but they were dope AF and so memorable. They offer classes ranging from Heated Vinyasa (a fave of mine) to 50/50 power and deep stretching classes. They also host Yoga On the Lawn at Armature Works. And they have an awesome cafe onsite with the most amazing acai bowl I’ve ever tasted in the Tampa Bay Area… no exaggeration!
I plan to update this list as I visit more studios throughout the Tampa Bay Area, so stay tuned!
