Self-care has become a trendy buzzword in recent years. What self-care really means is to identify your own needs and adopt practices that bolster your physical, mental and emotional well being. The Kyra’s Shea Medleys family wholeheartedly supports self-care and women who are loving and embracing themselves, including their natural skin and hair.
Today’s Kyra Shea Queen, Nia, is a college student with beautiful curly cues. Nia is finding the joy in taking care of herself. A part of that journey includes using hair products with natural ingredients that she knows are good for her. Check out her story below!

The Original Butter Cream – My sister gifted it to me, and I love it!

On my hair only.
How would you describe your hair and/or skin after using KSM products in three words?
Soft, moisturized, defined
What is your favorite hairstyle?
Bun or twist out
What would you say to a friend to encourage them to try natural beauty care products?
I would tell them that their body is a temple, and they should take care of themselves by using products with ingredients that are good for them.
Has KSM positively affected your perception of yourself? If so, how?
KSM has positively affected my perception of myself by reminding me that self-care isn’t selfish, and that it’s always a good time to take time out for yourself. The brand owner’s story is also particularly inspiring, and reminds me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
We greatly appreciate you Nia for sharing! Continue to shine like the Queen you are and thank you for allowing Kyra’s Shea Medleys to be a part of your natural hair and skin care journey!
