How to Actually Care for the Skin You’re in With Activated Charcoal

How to Actually Care for the Skin You're in With Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal for your skin.  It’s one of those ingredients that can be used from head to toe. You love it or hate it. You may know more about how it can be used internally.

When it comes to your skin, it’s known to be an excellent cleanser. It’s become somewhat of a star ingredient in the skincare market. From face soap, to gel cleansers and facial mask, you’ll find activated charcoal as an ingredient.

If you’ve used it, you know that it can pull dirt and other particles from your skin leaving you with a beautiful glow.

It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and brings clarity to you skin. Charcoal is a deep cleanser and is highly suited for oily skin, yet all skin types can benefit from its use.

Facial Products with Activated Charcoal

Facial cleansers with activated charcoal will help absorb dirt and other impurities leaving your skin looking clear and bright.

You can enhance its use by adding essential oils and aloe leaf extract to the ingredient stack. They can help oily and acne prone skin restore itself back to a healthy glow.

Facial mask made from activated charcoal have been known to actually nurture and nourish your skin. Although this ingredient is known for oily/acne skin use, when coupled with hyaluronic acid, DMAE and MSM they boost the rejuvenation properties of a mask for dry skin.

Hair Care Products with Activated Charcoal

A lot of you seem to forget that your scalp is skin. It has to be cared for just as you’d care for your face and body.

Hair products aren’t spoken of as much as skin care products when it comes to activated charcoal. However, they are used on a daily basis. Take shampoo for instance. Because activated charcoal is absorbent, it can help remove oil, dirt, dandruff and other toxins from your scalp as well as your hair during the shampoo process.

Your scalp can breathe after you cleanse.

Activated charcoal …

As part of a skin care regimen to cleanse your skin, along with adding a mask, your skin can possibly benefit from using activated charcoal. As with any skin care product, testing will be your best option.

Whether it’s oily skin, acne challenges or dry skin, find a sample kit and see how well the products work for you. Then scale up to full sizes.

That’s it for this week. As always …
