Are You Actually Brave Enough To Venture To The Beach During COVID?

Are You Actually Brave Enough To Venture To The Beach During COVID?

Are you actually brave enough to venture to the beach during COVID? What a question, right? Let’s face it, after a year of being cooped up in the house or at least staying close to home, a lot of you are ready for fresh air on a sunny beach. I’m ready, but I’m not brave enough … yet.

For those of you that will venture out and make your way to the beach, have you prepped your skin for the sun, sand and water?

Did You Prep Your Skin for Your Venture to the Beach?

Your body, per se, was not top of mind during the past year, unless you were thinking health wise. You probably increased your vitamin intake and maybe increased your walking regimen. More than that, and it was a stretch.

Your skin on the other hand, might have demanded your attention due to breakouts, mask acne or dryness.

Now that the weather is warmer, your skin will need to transition in to warm weather care. This means adding exfoliation to your full body regimen.

There’s nothing like a good body scrub. Body scrubs don’t have to be rough in order to get the job done. As a matter of fact, it’s better if the exfoliant you use is more gentle on your skin.

You’re probably accustomed to salt scrubs. Yet if the salt is too course, it can actually scratch your skin. While salt scrubs can be beneficial, it’s better if the salt is fine like sugar.

If you combine sugar, salt, jojoba wax beads and Shea butter, you’ve got the makings of a great body scrub. This type of scrub will exfoliate and moisturize your skin at the same time.

What’s the Purpose of a Body Scrub?

Body scrubs help remove dead skin cell build-up. When used at least once a week, you’ll find that your skin will become smooth as a baby’s bottom and feel good when touched.

When body scrubs have the added benefit of Shea butter as an ingredient, it will also help moisturize your skin.

Your skin will be well prepared for your time at the beach. The sun is good. The salt water air is good. The sand is even good. Within its own right, the fine sand can act as an exfoliation medium as well. However, the better the condition your skin is in, the better time you will have at the beach.

Your Mask Will Be Part of Your Venture to the Beach.

While it might be tricky, your mask will probably be part of your beach attire. How will it be tricky? Learning how to avoid having half your face tanned and the other half not, especially if you’re around more of a crowd than planned on.

A lot of you have rented Air-B and B’s just to get away. Often times these are houses that provide privacy within their walls/yards,  with pools and access to the beach. These areas are more private, therefore offering you an opportunity to be less masked up when outside.

Brave enough to venture to the beach during COVID?

Use your common sense and move away from crazy. You’ll know it when you see it. Have fun and let us know in the comment section how things are working out for you.

That’s it for this week. As always …
