Okay, I am back getting around but really want to explore outdoor spaces for obvious reasons. Some of my friends have been going to Southern Belle Farm for years picking blackberries, strawberries, peaches and more.
For my birthday, my line sister and I headed down to McDonough, GA to check it out. We made sure to go as early as possible and we prepared for the heat! One tip everyone told me is dress appropriately and have your sun protection.

It’s about an hour from me so it was definitely a trek, but worth it.
Tip: Check out their website the morning that you want to go. At the top of the site, they will tell you what is available for U-pick that day and their hours of operation. For example, you may want to pick strawberries but the morning of, they may say strawberries aren’t available that day so they can wait for more to ripen. I love that they do this. It is too far to be driving to find out after you get there that what you wanted isn’t even available that day. Go early to ensure you have plenty of space….and fruit.
When you get there, you decide what you want to pick and you pay by the bag. You pick the size you want and whatever you can fit in there, is yours to take home. We decided to pick peaches and flowers.
It’s great as a date, girls day, or with the kids. We saw a little of everyone there. Have fun!
