Most Courageous Man Ever
Courageous Black Man? As a Black Man in this world, you face many obstacles. You’ve been gifted with a complexion that makes you stand out from the crowd. Yet, you’re hated because of it. When you hear the words, Tall, Dark and Handsome, they’re talking about you.
You’re Not A Deadbeat Dad
Some people say you’re a deadbeat Dad, because you’re never home. Why aren’t you there? Could it be that you’re driving 10-12 hours on the road to feed your family? Could it be that you’re the ER doctor, helping to save other’s lives? Is it possible you’re working late at your own business, building a family legacy? Could it be that you’ve been stopped, because you were driving while Black?
You’re not a deadbeat Dad. You’re a courageous Black Man just supporting your family, and that might mean spending less time with them.
Are there exceptions? Sure there are, but they have a reason for not being there. Some have anxiety and depression that wasn’t diagnosed. Other’s chose to leave to keep your sanity and for the safety of your family.
Does this make you love those you care for any less? Not at all. Keep Your Head Up! Know that you’re loved by those who care the most.
Not Just For The Brothers
This message is not just for the brothers. Why? Because, oftentimes, as Black women, we don’t tell our men, how much we love and appreciate them. Use these words if you need to. And … A lot of you are living the dual role of Mom and Dad.
This Father’s Day, Know That We Love And Appreciate You.
