Because of Them We Can® and Most Incredible Studio have unveiled the “Because Of You: Legacy In Focus” LEGO® set.
This creation, launched in honor of Because of Them We Can’s 12th anniversary, represents more than just a building experience—it’s a tangible celebration of Black excellence and the importance of preserving cultural narratives.
The set features a vintage camera design with a functional 6½” × 5″ photo frame, creating a meaningful link between building, storytelling, and legacy preservation. Each element invites families, educators, historians, and LEGO® enthusiasts to engage in conversations about heritage, resilience, and the impact of those who have shaped history.
“This collaboration is about more than just building with LEGO® bricks—it’s about building connections to our history, our culture, and the stories that define us,” explains Eunique Jones Gibson, founder of Because of Them We Can®. “With every piece placed, we hope to remind people of the power of storytelling and the importance of capturing moments that inspire future generations.”

Syreeta Gates, founder of Most Incredible Studio, brings her expertise as an archivist to the project. “So much of our work exists as ephemera—fleeting moments captured in time,” Gates notes. “This kit collaboration ensures that Black legacy, seen through the lens of the camera, will endure physically and permanently through this LEGO® set. It transforms the act of storytelling into something people can literally build, hold, and pass down, reinforcing the importance of Black narratives for generations to come.”
