A lot of hairstylists have continued to do work this whole time even with the quarantine, but I honestly haven’t felt comfortable going to a salon.
My hair gets extremely tangled when I leave it for awhile and I honestly lose more hair during my wash days. I will go 7+ days wearing a fro and it’s just not good. At the same time, because I’m not going anywhere during the quarantine, I haven’t been motivated to do my hair a lot.
This is the time to learn something new. One week I decided to teach myself how to do feed-in cornrows.
I took my time to source good YouTube videos which was kind of a fail. No one does closeups and their “tutorials” are more like “watch me do my hair from afar”. I had to watch about 7 different videos to “get it” and while not perfect, I think I’ll get it better my next time around.
I think I did a good job for my first time.
I’ll definitely be working on the amount of hair I add in moving forward. This will be a great quarantine style that lasts me at least a week (in my basic way of doing it)
